Our Terms and conditions regarding our whangarei skip bin hire and waste management

Grab a Bin - Skip Bin Hire Agreement

This agreement is between Grab a Bin Ltd ("the proprietor"), and the customer ("the hirer"), governing the hire of the skip bin described herein under the following terms:

1. Acceptance: By using the skip bin, the customer agrees to the terms and conditions herein.

2. Payment: Payment by the customer shall be made via Credit Card, Debit Card, or as otherwise agreed with Skip Bins Online. The customer authorizes Skip Bins Online to charge their credit or debit card for all fees and additional charges.

3. Payment Terms: Payment for non-account holders is due when ordering a bin,

4. For account holders, payment is due on the 20th of each month. Unpaid amounts will incur interest at 15% per monthly.

5. Charges: The customer agrees to pay:

  • Skip bin hire charges as agreed upon before delivery.
  • Excess weight charges and associated dumping fees.
  • Charges for extra days.
  • Charges for moving the skip bin from an unauthorized location.
  • Costs related to collecting unpaid charges.

6. Use of Skip Bin: The customer agrees not to overload the skip bin. It should not be filled higher than its sides to prevent contents from falling during removal or transit.

7. Prohibited Materials: The skip bin must only contain waste materials excluding items like tyres, TVs, monitors, fridges, polystyrene, microwaves, asbestos, dead animals, and hazardous wastes such as flammable or explosive products, car batteries, gas bottles, liquids, paints, or other items deemed hazardous by the proprietor.

8. Compliance: The customer will comply with all laws and regulations regarding the use of skip bins. Responsibilities: While the skip bin is in the customer's possession, the customer agrees not to:

  • Place prohibited materials in the skip bin.
  • Light fires or burn waste materials in the skip bin.
  • Overfill the skip bin or allow waste materials to protrude.
  • Move the skip bin without written authorization.
  • Use the skip bin for illegal purposes or purposes not agreed upon.

9. Indemnity: The customer indemnifies the proprietor against any liability for loss, damage, or injury caused by the customer's use of the skip bin or by the customer's employees, subcontractors, or agents.

10. Public Property: The customer is responsible for skip bins placed on public property.

11. Damages and Liabilities: The customer is liable for damages to the proprietor's skip bins during the hire period, excluding fair wear and tear, and for any liability resulting from non-compliance with these terms.

12. Price Changes: The proprietor may change prices from time to time, providing at least 28 days' notice by email and publishing changes on their website.

13. Service Alterations: The proprietor may alter services, providing at least 28 days' notice by email and publishing changes on their website.

14. Personal Information: The customer authorizes the proprietor to collect, retain, and use personal information provided for payment and other authorized purposes. The proprietor complies with the Privacy Act 2025, and the customer has the right to access and correct any personal information held.

15. Changes to Terms: The proprietor may revise these terms, including adding new terms. If changes could adversely affect the customer, the proprietor will provide at least 28 days' notice by email and publish changes on their website. Continued use of services after notification indicates acceptance. If the customer does not agree, they have the right to terminate this agreement.
